Our national team of over 1,500 (and growing!), Independent Wine Consultants includes wine enthusiasts of all levels, from the newest Consultants to Team Leaders and Directors who've been with us since the company's inception. Huib Geerlings

Chief Technology Officer, Chairman and Founder of The Traveling Vineyard

In 1986, Our founder, Huib Geerlings was disappointed by the lack of information available to wine buyers at typical American retailers. As a wine connoisseur, he knew that wine should be judged by taste, not price or reputation. He partnered with Phillip Wade and set out to share their wine philosophy, educate consumers and demystify the wine tasting and selection process. Next came the challenge of making truly great tasting wines affordable and accessible. Huib knew that wines on the open market pass through a number of brokers, negotiators and middlemen before they make it to their mainstream marketplace. So he decided to go straight to the source. Building relationships with renowned wine makers in France, Italy, Australia, Chile and California, he and his team tasted and rated hundreds of wines and selected only those that offer a rare combination of superior quality and exceptional price! Huib’s enthusiasm, vision and strategy have fueled the success of The Traveling Vineyard’s parent company, Geerlings & Wade for over 20 years, and is further cultivated into the successful party plan company that we all know and love today – The Traveling Vineyard!

Francis Sanders

Wine Director, The Traveling Vineyard

Wine Director since 1997, Francis Sanders has worked in the beverage industry at the producer, supplier, wholesaler and retailer levels, in addition to working as a rectifier and blender. Since 2000, the wines his team has delivered have earned more than 1,400 awards or laudatory reviews. Prior to joining us, this third-generation beverage industry family member earned his living as a pianist, taught in both the public schools and at the university level, and he continues to serve as a freelance writer. His work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and comic books, on television, on film and in wine glasses throughout the United States.

Allison Casey

Vice President of Sales and Marketing, The Traveling Vineyard

Allison joined The Traveling Vineyard in-house after serving in the field as a Director for the past two years. She brings experience in the areas of management, marketing, internet sales and web development, along with her knowledge of the wine industry. For TTV, Allison built a team of over 100 Consultants in just two years, and was recognized multiple times for monthly awards in areas including personal revenue, number of events held and sponsoring. Out of roughly 2,500 sales representatives in the field, she was the top performer in 2006 Personal Revenue, Number of Events Held and Sponsoring. She was also in the Top 5 in Events and Sponsoring in 2005 and Top 3 in Incentive Trip points in 2005 and 2006.

Before joining TTV full time, she ran her own consulting firm for 8 years, focusing on website development, content management, online advertising and marketing.

Carol Caito

Director of Training and Field Development, The Traveling Vineyard

With several years in the direct sales industry, she is a vital member in developing our training and leadership material for Consultants. Carol's resume includes 10 years at Pampered Chef, where she achieved the level of Independent Senior Sales Director, building a team of over 200 Consultants with personal sales of over $1 million. Over the past few years, she has worked as Director of Training for two Direct Sales companies, Market Day Gourmet and Shure Pets, implementing the training materials for the sales force. She is based out of Indianapolis, IN where she resides with her husband.
